His Honor

He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.  John 7:18

When our motives are to honor The Lord, we will always speak truth.  There will be nothing false or wrong in it.  

Always be in position to honor The Lord - when speaking, when encouraging, when speaking a word to someone, etc.  I need to constantly check myself to make sure that when I say a word to someone it will be for the honor of God - that his name is the one lifted high, not myself at all.

// Lord, I only want to honor you.  Use me as a vessel to bring honor to your name in everything that I do or say. I want to practice speaking words to people - where they will say it is from You alone.  Help me to be keen in hearing you that it won't be mixed with my own prior knowledge but only what you really want to say for them or myself as well.  Thank you Lord for the opportunity to be used by you in Jesus name, amen.
